we’re giving back to the community by offering free surf lessons for low income families

If you or someone you know has always wanted to surf but lacks the disposable income to pay for qualified instruction, we’ve got you covered. On Saturday, July 20th from 1-4 pm, our team of experienced watermen is volunteering our time for free surfing lessons at 1st Street Jetty at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

No prior experience is necessary, and we’ll even have life jackets for those who are less than comfortable in the ocean. All ages are welcome, and we promise to get every participant up and riding a wave. Life jackets will be available for anyone who is not totally comfortable in the ocean. And we’ll also have a professional surf photographer on hand to document your feat. All of this, and there’s absolutely no cost to you.

We realize how lucky we are to have been introduced to the sport of surfing, and we want to share this experience with others who are less fortunate. Virginia Beach offers an accommodating, non-threatening venue for beginner surfing, making learning a breeze. Our experienced staff, proven methods and user-friendly equipment will have you walking on water.
