2024 va beach surf camps

J Borte Surf School is not just the longest running camp in Virginia Beach, but the only one owned and operated by a licensed teacher. Our founder/director Jason Borte is also a former professional champion, author and East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame Inductee.

Our camps are designed for beginner and intermediate surfers between 6-17 years of age, with a 1:4 instructor/student ratio. Our surf lessons are for all ages, and we have experience teaching toddlers as well as senior citizens. No matter your age or experience, you will surf! We guarantee it.

For 2024, our surf camps begin June 10th and run weekly through August 16th. The camp operates at the Virginia Beach oceanfront on the beach at 4th street and has a daily start time of 8am.

Our team of friendly, experienced instructors will have you riding waves on the first day. In addition to surfing fundamentals, our camps emphasize etiquette, ocean awareness and water safety. Join us in the user-friendly Virginia Beach surf and make this the best summer ever.
